St. Pat's students start Shrove Tuesday with donuts!

Today is Shrove Tuesday! This day is marked by feasting and celebration, which traditionally precedes the observance of the Lenten fast. Other names for this day are Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) or Pancake Day, which comes from the old custom of using up all the fattening ingredients in the house before Lent so that people were ready to fast during Lenten season. This custom still continues today.
